Blockades implemented by many people have been a successful approach to stop marches of Nazis during the last years. By blockading the Nazis, people have taken a clear stand against racism and have accomplished to restrain activities done by the Nazis, whether it was through limitation of their time of presence or through relocation of their planed routes or places.

But the blockades that have been done more or less spontaneously also disclosed certain weaknesses. A lack of good arrangements and self- confidence has appeared at many places. Furthermore there has been a desire for more compatible structures and a need of a higher number of groups capable of acting.

Trainings explicitly offered for reference groups, blockades and fingertips are able to create such structures. Be trained to become a blockade coach yourself and help to spread the idea of mass blockades. Information can be found at www.skills-for-action.de (german) and www.aktionsnetzwerk.de  (german)

Civil Disobedience

At Jena, Weimar and Erford  people have repeatedly been successful in blockading marches of Nazis during the last years. Thousands of counter-demonstrators have been sitting on streets. By doing so they were able to stop the Nazis and their misanthropic propaganda.  Besides the practical necessities of such blockades the Aktionswerk Jena also intends to answer questions regarding the blockades’ contents.

We record the debate involving the background and prospects of civil disobedience.
